IT Landscape Profiling ™
Background
We recognize that an IT organisation has to deliver against a number of major infrastructure
objectives and we view these in the context of an IT landscape as shown below.
We have developed a rapid profiling method to help identify an organisation's ability
to deliver on the main disciplines and practices across the landscape, namely:
- Effective Management & Governance for decision-making & control
- Running IT as a business for greater business alignment
- Sustainability of infrastructure services by balancing efficiency, stability and
risk
How it works
Put simply, we use the IT Landscape Profiling method to help clients determine their
current 'as is' environment and their desired 'to be' target. Through the profiling
exercise an initial set of gaps, issues and constraints is prepared with recommendations
for how they can be overcome as well as service improvement initiatives.
The profiling tool is available in questionnaire format for each of the 3 main functional
areas highlighted above and can be completed on-line, through interactive 1:1 sessions
or via a facilitated workshop.
We also use peer group data to help benchmark performance and provide best of breed
recommendations.
